Three Ways Hummus – Best Homemade Recipe

Hummus is a delicious spread or dip made from cooked chickpeas , tahini and lemon . 

Though there are many varieties of hummus you can make ,just by adding one or two ingredients in the classic hummus recipe.

 It is commonly eaten in the Middle East and is part of Meditteranean cuisine . ( Loved all over the world though ) . 

You can use it in Wraps , sandwiches , as a dip on the side of some veggies or chips and many more . Its really easy to make and super quick.  

Here i have shared three varieties of Hummus that taste simply delicious. I have also shared the homemade tahini recipe which is again super quick with just one ingredient.

Now let’s head on to the RECIPE .



1 Red Bell Pepper

1 Bulb Of Garlic 

200 gms of Cooked Chickpeas 

1 tbsp Olive Oil 

Juice of 1 Lemon 

2 Tbsp Tahini 

2 Tbsp Water 

1/2 Tsp Red Chilly Powder 

Salt To Taste 

Garnishing: Some Chopped Roasted Bell Peppers, Chilly Powder, Cumin Powder, Basil Leaves and some Cooked Chickpeas.

Directions :

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees .

Line a tray with parchment paper and place the sliced bell pepper and whole garlic as shown in the video . 

Drizzle some olive oil on top and bake them for about 15 to 20 min until lightly charred . 

Once done , let it cool and remove the garlic peel . 

Now, place all the ingredients in the food processor and blend until smooth and creamy . 

Serve it in a bowl with the garnish .  



1 Beetroot , Peeled 

200 Gms Cooked Chickpeas 

1.5 Tbsp Tahini 

8 to 10 Garlic Cloves 

2 Tbsp Olive Oil 

Juice of half LEMON 

1/4th cup water 

Salt to taste . 

Garnishing: Toasted Black Sesame Seeds, Shredded fresh Basil Leaves, Black Olives. few Thinly Sliced Lemon and some chopped Roasted Beetroot. 

Directions : 

Cut the Peeled BEETROOT in slices and place it in  a tray lined with parchment paper . 

Bake it in the preheated oven @ 180 degrees for 20 min . , until nicely cooked and roasted . Set aside to cool .

Now add all the ingredients to the food processor and blend until smooth and creamy . 

Add water and olive oil to adjust the consistency .

Serve it in the bowl with the garnish . 



150 gms Cooked Chickpeas 

8 to 10 Garlic Cloves 

Salt to Taste 

Cumin Powder 

2 Tbsp Tahini 

2 Tbsp Olive Oil 

Juice of 1 Lemon 


Garnishing: Pomegranate seeds, Some Cooked Chickpeas, olive oil to drizzle, cumin powder .

Directions : 

Place all the ingredients in the food processor and blend until creamy and smooth . 

You can add water or olive oil to adjust the consistency of hummus .

Serve it in a Bowl , Drizzle some Olive oil ,  Garnish and Serve .  

Notes : 

 Hummus stays fresh in refrigerator for 4 to 5 days and in freezer for a month . 

You can add lemon juice  as per your taste.

The longer you blend the hummus , the creamier it becomes . 

1 or 2 ice-cubes while blending helps in creamy hummus .
